Qashas al-Qur’an as part of Qur‟anic verse is not only occupying a dominant position in the overall verses of the Qur‟an , but also shows the literary dimension of the Qur'an. Therefore, literary criticism to the qashas al-Qur’an is very relevant to be applied. Similarly, the application of narrative criticism as part of the literary criticism to the Qur'an is also part of a comprehensive methods to assess the narrative criticism to the qashas al-Qur'an. Especially the function of narrative criticism to assess the elements of the structure of a story. Departing from the discourse, the studies on the structure of qashas al-Qur’an with the narrative approach has conducted by A.H Johns is very important in this case. Especially related to the style of language in dialogue of Joseph Story in the Qur‟an, wich not only as an element wich forming the dramatic structure in the presentation of the story, but also as an element wich forming the meaning in the series of dialogues.
